What is Biotraxion?
Biotraxion is a bench execution record. It is lab traceability software that displays the approved protocol at the workstation, whether at the biosafety cabinet or on the bench, and records each step as the operator performs it, with their electronic signature and the reagent lot and equipment used. At the end of the study, it produces a sealed Audit Pack, ready for inspection.
How is Biotraxion different from an electronic lab notebook (ELN)?
An electronic lab notebook is written afterwards, from memory. Biotraxion records the steps as they happen, at the bench: the data is attributable and contemporaneous, in line with ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
Is Biotraxion compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11?
Biotraxion is designed to meet the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, ALCOA+ and GAMP 5: electronic signature by the authenticated operator at every step (§11.50), and a timestamped, append-only audit trail, SHA-256 hash-chained. Computerized system validation remains each organization's responsibility; we provide the technical building blocks and supporting materials to carry it out.
Which laboratories is Biotraxion for?
First, preclinical CROs working under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), with 10 to 50 technicians running studies for several sponsors in parallel. Also regulated R&D teams in biotech and pharma, and core facilities and service labs that must trace samples, reagents and equipment for each requester.
Who is Otto?
Otto is Biotraxion's AI assistant. It is waiting for you at the bench: ask it questions in plain language, for example which reagents are expired or low in stock and where they are stored. It answers from the record, and every answer cites the query that produced it.
Does Biotraxion work without a network connection?
Yes. The workstation keeps recording steps if the network goes down, then resynchronizes automatically when the connection returns.
What is an Audit Pack?
It is the sealed deliverable of a study: approved protocol, signatures, deviations and chained audit trail, exported in one click. Your sponsor and your inspector can verify it without taking your word for it.
How is each sponsor's data protected?
Each study is isolated by sponsor: one client's data, files and access never overlap with another's. One study, one wall.
How long does it take to deploy Biotraxion?
A few days, not months. The workstation is set up at the biosafety cabinet and approved protocols are imported as-is.
